Steinau lived his life with nerve and verve

The passing of Mort Steinau is a milestone. He was a darling of a man. For such a little, wiry guy he had such an enormous presence.

Mort lived a principled life for peace, justice and human rights. Most of all, he resisted the dehumanizing ethos of death that prevails in our culture and informs our government. He had the nerve to fight the principalities and powers of evil and the verve to organize a steadfast resistance against the war-mongering U.S. government.

Mort's legacy is to inspire the rest of us to continue the struggle until our last breath, just as he did. Mort Steinau: a life well-lived!
